It’s been a record-setting season for Head Men’s Soccer Coach Tim Schmiechen.

In mid-September, an overtime goal in a 1-0 game against Wisconsin Lutheran College made him the overall winningest coach in Midwest Conference Men’s Soccer history with his 194th win. He passed former Grinnell College head coach John Pfitsch, who amassed 193 wins at Grinnell College from 1974-1997.

In October, he also broke the record for conference wins with 126 MWC wins and earned his 200th career win.

“It’s a very nice honor, but I couldn’t have done it without many great players and some outstanding assistant coaches,” Schmiechen says.

In his 23 seasons at Beloit, Schmeichen has earned five Midwest Conference Coach of the Year awards and coached 10 All-Midwest Region players.
